Enterprise AI, running on your infrastructure.
The questions your security team, your legal team and your CFO will ask, answered plainly: deployment boundaries, access controls and operational ownership.
Yours to control
Pengui installs on your infrastructure. You control the platform deployment and storage; the models, integrations and supporting services you select determine the remaining data flows. Start with these three questions:
“Where does it run?”
In your cloud or data center. Your team controls the platform environment and its storage policies. A fully disconnected, air-gapped deployment needs a separate review of model serving, integrations, updates, licensing and other dependencies.
“What leaves our environment?”
That depends on the services you connect. External model requests, business tools and supporting services can send information beyond the platform environment. A local model removes one external processing dependency; it does not, by itself, prove zero data egress. Map and test the complete deployment.
“Who controls access?”
Your administrators configure identity, roles and access to agents and tools. Validate identity-provider compatibility, organization boundaries and allowed operations for your deployment. Agree on logging coverage, retention, export and deletion behavior before production.
Security evidence, not assumptions. Self-hosting does not automatically confer a certification or establish compliance. Request the deployment architecture, supported controls and security documentation relevant to your organization. Agree on customer and supplier responsibilities explicitly.
Private deployment and data processing are different decisions
Running the platform in your cloud gives you a deployment boundary. It does not, by itself, establish where every model request or connected tool processes data. The answer depends on your selected model providers, integrations, logging configuration and deployment agreement.
Before production, map the information sent to each service, who can access it and how long it is retained. Test permissions with both an authorized and an unauthorized user. Agree on operational ownership and review the configuration for your deployment rather than treating a general platform description as a security certification.
